Clown country? Sure—if enjoying Pushpa 2 over a decade-old Interstellar makes us clowns, then the West better swap their next Marvel blockbuster for a Sholay re-release. Oh wait, they wouldn’t. Demand drives screens, not nostalgia. But hey, enjoy your pedestal.
Do you know how these things work? Producers tie theatres up in exclusive contracts, as in no other film can play on the screen, as Pushpa did. Interstellar is a movie made with IMAX cameras, made to see in IMAX, which is not getting a screen because of this. Ofcourse clown country.
The classic "I know better" stance. Sure, Interstellar was made for IMAX, but cinema is business, not a charity for Nolan fans. Pushpa 2 guarantees packed houses across demographics. Comparing houseful marathons to mass-market demand is like comparing gourmet diners to food courts—context matters.
Interstellar non-IMAX re-release shows went houseful during Nolan marathon last year. Pls dont speak anything Without any knowledge. If you think a Nolan movie in Imax wont have demand, you dont know much about filmgoing.
Anyway, I admit I have much more cinematic exploration ahead of me. I’m sure your passion for films will lead to small but meaningful changes. Wishing you all the best on your journey.🕊✌️
India isn’t just Pushpa 2—we’re the land of Satyajit Ray, Mani Ratnam, Sujoy Ghosh, and more. Dismissing our cinematic experiences as 'clownish' speaks to your bias. Nolan’s brilliant, but so is the diversity of a billion tastes. Also, I am willing to learn/unlearn, are you?
