I obviously believe that we need to build a more equitable world, but the e/acc fantasy of a frictionless existence - we all live in a computer program, endless abundance, etc - is literally hell. We thrive on conflict, on trials, on problem solving. Its how we learn about our reality and ourselves.

I often think about how, counterintuitive to many peoples assumptions, we find evidence of prehistoric peoples creating the conditions for disabled members of bands to continue to travel with everyone. My guess is that there was no expectation of frictionlessness, so why would care be different?
also how feelings of embarrassment stop us from using our brains in these ways becauase we worry we'll look foolish.
