Nah, it's harmless and a great opportunity to celebrate the community as they built an area just for that. I'm glad they are doing prizes, tho it seems that was always the case. When it comes to a small indie studio, as many have said b4 me, it's fully explained, no one has to take part. Fair points

I get it was part of the gag part too, but like, I still see that often enough that I just don't like it.

"Exposure" should not be the payment. Exposure is a bonus. That's at least how my business model goes for Project Starlight at least.

As someone who has been part of these before. Sure it is nice to draw your guys but also we should get proper compensation for all of their hard work.

That's fair. Given they're a bigger name than they started out as, it would be more ideal to add more incentive for those contributing, like they have the money for it.
I think it's also a thing of a select group of artists will win as opposed to just one or three
