Very sad to hear of the passing of the legendary Penny Chuter….the first woman to head up a Senior international British mens team. She was also a former Director of International Rowing for GB.

Used to see her wash us out every time she passed us on the Thames... but she still had my (if not our) respect. Ahead of her time and should have had even more acclaim in the sport but for the glass ceilings she often broke through.
