The determination the team showed in the final minute before halftime was absolutely fantastic! The celebration cheers from the crowd will remain with me for ever! Probably similar to the elation at the 6-2 game when 12 mins in and we couldn’t believe the score.
Very good but it just makes me want to scream at the defenders "just put your fucking foot through the ball & stop fannying around with it". Hat this bloody obsession with playing out all the time
It always baffles me to see teams keep playing possession ball when they're getting pressed. It is madness. When you attract too many opponents of course you're bound to make mistake. Its just waiting game at that point for the opponent, especially later in the game when exhaustion kicks in.
It's so dumb to just play around your goal. The whole point of the concept is finding an open pass for a scoring opportunity, not to just take the risk and hope for the best while still taking the risk. Attempting to score is important if you are going to attract people from pressure.

Have to say, their defending was incredible. 1-2's, megs, back heels... all in in a space of about 4 sq foot. Gloriously mental and they got exactly what they deserved.

Don't get me wrong I love passing football, but at the right time and with a purpose.
Sometimes it has to go long... this was a time when someone needed to put their foot through the ball, clear the danger and regroup.
