Dr. Peter Marks, the US top vaccine regulator, resigned yesterday. Forced out. In his resignation letter, Marks said it became clear that Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. didn’t want the truth about vaccine safety, "but rather he wishes subservient confirmation of his misinformation and lies."

Dr. Marks' refusal to bend scientific truth to accommodate political fantasy represents the kind of courage our institutions desperately need and increasingly lack. Truth has become a resignation offense.
