When you think about it, HoX/PoX resonated so deeply because it had been years since X-Men felt alive. So deliberately tanking the line to pave the way for the next HoXPoX is really the best strategy.

Idk how I just am now considering the comparison between Big 2 comics and the Moneyball, "Trust the Process" era of sports but there could be a pretty solid essay here. Hickman leaving the X-line and Jordan D. White doing the "we can recreate him in the aggregate" quote with Ewing, Gillen, and Dugan
True about Hox/PoX. It focused on doing new & different things. Which Marvel seems more & more against by the day, as their nostalgia books and steadfast status quo standing & return to "the old days" grows.
Tanking seems wild but maybe it brings better. I just don't trust current Marvel.

Would've been nice for the Luka trade to happen when Hickman "left" X-Men so I would have had a direct match analogy
