Contributing my first post here. A detailed analysis of work from home and return to office in the US economy. The answer here is clear. Factory workers get way more done when all the managers and engineers have to do their projects from home.

To be fair, while this gels with more specific studies showing benefits in productivity from WFH, the past 4 recessions all had some speed up in productivity growth simply from composition effects (you lay off lower productivity roles first). So part of this rise then fall comes from that.
