If it is that, or being a Chinese vassal state? Then yes...I will look toward an alternative. It might not be any better, but when I see what's on offer, I'm prepared to take a gamble.

To be fair I personally have not seen anything that would point towards UK becoming a Chinese vassal state. However, I fully respect you having your own different view on the matter
