If Damascus falls, expect reverberations to be felt not just in the immediate vicinity but amongst those rising up against their government in Georgia and Ukrainians fighting against Russia. The Arab Spring had a domino effect that was hard to predict or control.
The Middle East used to be democratic Syria was a democracy before the baathist coup but if economic situation keep shity expect a trump to come and take over, like what happened to us in Tunisia (we still a democracy in Tunisia but it’s more flawed than before because of our populist president)
4points from @AssalRad on X:
• Israel is illegally occupying Golan Heights
• Syria’s sovereignty remains intact, thus Israel’s current invasion a violation of int. law
• The term “buffer zone” is a euphemism for occupation
• Israel’s invasions of neighboring countries are not acts of liberation
The fall of Assad marks a turning point, but Syria now faces a dangerous vacuum. Rebel groups hold key cities, the nation lies in ruins, and the road to peace will be long. The world watches, wary of extremists filling the void. For Syrians, hope is fragile, but the fight for stability begins.
All over oil. United States will always destroy a government over oil revenues. Iraq, Lebanon, Russia and now Syria. Smash a few and the rest fall in line.
I’m hopeful that this can be a real turning point for the Syrian people. If the state can be rebuilt in a way that does not oppress the people, refugees could return home and right-wing trends in Europe might subside. If not, Syria may be the next Iraq or Afghanistan. Let’s hope for the former!
Pro West ie little zionist helpers, paving the way for extermination of Palestinians & creating an arc of salafism, a regressive move that will end the current pluralism in that benighted country.
Dark days ahead, more innocents to be killed in the coming months & years.
you really dont follow the whole conflict. the syrian rebels are not just one group, its a collection of many smaller parties and the biggest are those who share same belief as the Taliban.
A real hero, Assad, who fights against Shariaist jihadists and Nazi-minded liberals to protect liberal minorities in Syria from getting slaughtered. Colonial Nazi liberals wouldn't mind those liberal minorities getting killed.Assad defended them against this psycho coalition of ISIS, and the Biden.
These dictators put pictures of themselves everywhere and statues 😯
What the actual fuck do they think about !
It’s a good idea to build a few more statues of myself and put them around ! 🤷♂️. Assad is a tosser , like Putin , trump & Orban 🤮

Are there any democratic countries in the Middle East? I think democracy might be a bit much to hope for tbh.
In Syria, the people are not divided by race, like they are in America, so the People were united and got rid of monster Assad. #Revolution

The same formula as Iraq, Libya, ... buy the generals, & give their families green cards & ship them out to US to own & run their own holiday inn.
3 months ago those ISIS terrorists could have been stopped.
