I have a feeling we are quickly surpassing the Un-united States of America in military power. Note, they were not even able to supply 2/3 of what Europe supplied to Ukraine in the past 3 years.
Now things seem to turn even worse for the US.

One thing I really want to see is for European defense manufacturers to spread out geographically across Europe - no more "German manufacturers", "French manufacturers", "British manufacturers", etc. This would seriously reduce self-interested infighting when awarding contracts.

Another thing I want to see, although it's more difficult, is a unified election calendar - syncing up all national elections. That way, European Parliament elections are at the same time as national elections, get similar turnout, and people feel more that the EP represents them.

An alternative would be a rotating EP without a fixed election date, so that a nation's MPs change out with their national voting rather than some fixed EP elections on 6-9 June. I don't see a particular reason that all MPs should need to be elected at once.
