Ukraine's new mothership drones supposedly have a 1-way range of 300km. If Ukraine can bring 2 small FPVs on a mothership drone 300km into Russian territory, they should be able to damage some Russian fighter jets. The FPVs must be much harder to shoot down than larger strategic drones.
It is clear to me that these bomber attacks could be a multi day effort. It would be logical to make it as large as possible, so as to not give the Russians any time to adapt. The operation would be far more useful if it were larger in scope and killed as many bombers as possible
