tangential but i keep thinking back to friends who insisted on using apple product due to privacy controls, and i always thought they sounded insane because apple can see and take anything on your device! they can upload shit you dont want and not let you turn it off! do you know how dumb you sound!

If you have a device that CAN run Apple Intelligence you need to turn this off as well as the general Apple Intelligence setting.
Settings > Screen Time > scroll down to Content and Privacy > turn on Restrictions > Intelligence and Siri > turn off the first three options
