Haven't got into it myself yet but Blender + Ucupaint (free plugin) is a good substitute for substance painter from what I've seen

Yeah it's a bit out of date. I can tell because they swapped Audacity for Tenacity in latter versions (Russian private co. owns Audacity now so there were privacy concerns)

Hmm. Wikipedia says Audacity is owned by MuseGroup, headquartered in Cyprus. (As of 2024.) Were they reacquired this year?

Marmoset tool bag 5 kind of goes hard as a substance painter texturing alternative. I might actually switch to it exclusively. Only problem is that the texturing workflows are not widely accepted as industry standard in games (..yet hopefully).

I used Leonardo for drawing/painting for a while, before I got my ipad. Really enjoyed the infinite canvas option.
I believe it was a one time purchase, but was also still in beta.
