How is it so far? My partner and I live closer to Las Vegas, but the prices have us looking at driving all the way to USGP next year. We really want to see a race in person, but $3k for 2 people to have seats in Las Vegas is toooo much.

Keep an eye out for cheap tickets released race week as people try and liquidate their tickets they bought thinking people would pay the prices.

We'd be driving 8 hours for it and taking time off work weeks in advance, sadly not an option for us. :( If I lived in las vegas, I would for sure be doing that. We watched last year and never saw the prices dip. :(

Sales are much softer this year as a lot of people that went last year are skipping this year (Flight, ticket, and lodging for Miami this year were cheaper than Vegas seats)

It's crazy to me that people are less interested this year. It's so much MORE exciting this year (I haven't watched today's race yet, waiting for my wife to get home from DnD because she'll KILL ME if I watch it without her. Last year was a snooze fest.

The excitement is higher for the on track product, but they are cutting back everything off track, and you are stuck in your zone which can be experienced in one night.
