I think they want to do the Russian thing where the military is severely under powered in order to avoid a coup, and all those in power have their own private militarized police force. However they've forgotten at the very least 20 steps to make that happen.

This is not my experience. I work in the defense industry and the majority of military and law enforcement I come across do not hate him. They cling onto Fox News talking points. It’s terrifying.
