I deliver cars from a car rental agency to airports & such, & one really windy day the metal wheelie bin got blown into two vehicles & we had to take them to the auto body shop 😬
Bin day is the sort of neighbourhood event that, post Apocalypse, will accelerate the break down of world order. It’s one of the few times many us interact with neighbours. Throwing footballs back over garden fences is probably a close second.
Our street had a missed collection due to Thursday snow, needless to say we’ve all followed instructions to leave them out.
Wheelie bins still out on a Windy Sunday? 😬
It’s not going to end well is it?
I think the definition of age is actually inversely related to the time before the bin truck comes that you put the bin out... ...and knowing which bin it is today...
No problem remembering which bin goes out here. I live next door to the Street Captain, our road's designated responsible person. Their bins are out late afternoon for collection the next day. Always the right bin. Hate it when they go on holiday and I have to look it up
Damn that's good. Our Street Captain is a stone cold binfluencer, but he also has the best lawn management, (unlike our own fly blown mossy wasteland next door), and a nice clean car, not like mine that looks like it's stolen and recovered. Sigh.
