We’ve got a lot of hope for Heartstopper season 4 with recent business developments but either way we know how hard it is for any queer show to get more than 1 season on Netflix. The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, First Bite, and Dead Boy Detectives are great examples. Demand Queer media!

To be (a little) fair about DBD, the allegations around Neil Gaiman were already public before the show was cancelled.

Netflix may have viewed having a project so closely attached/associated with Gaiman was too much of a liability.

Absolutely, everyone who had worked so hard on that show.

I imagine The Sandman is going to be released to as little fanfare as possible which is ashame for everyone who worked on it.

From the information we have, it seems unlikely Gaiman’s allegations had much to do with Dead Boy Detectives in particular, especially since he was not a showrunner. However, that isn’t to say it played NO role, either.
