If the AI bots could set up my email autoresponder and block off my calendar while I'm on PTO, that would be great. Or maybe even remind me that I'm supposed to be on PTO today. But no, I'm sure the AI bots will instead be used to make the 720-degree peer reviews even more horrific

Actually useful robots probably require investment in stuff like programming & mechanisms to do stuff. It’s easier for the AI stans to have their creations “well, actually…” us to extinction.

Trash collection is hazardous work that requires careful driving on crowded residential streets and handling all kinds of nasty stuff safely. There’s a lot of brain power involved and garbage collectors are ace human beings.

The thing about robots is, very few tasks that they are Actually Able to do by themselves, offer the scalability to be financially profitable. Even the things they're being tasked to do, find them being half used because they either need human intervention or accommodation.
