I vaguely remember "Mr. Dobalina" coming up, but sadly, I didn't really get into him until the release THPS2 which had "If You Must" on it. I was sold as soon as I peeled back the layers of his work 😎👍

Haha, as a kid I signed up for BMG's tape club and it was the tape of the month the first month. His records still hold up beautifully, which isn't something I can say for everything I listened to back then.
