I couldn't figure out what it was exactly, until I realize it's the exact archetype of death that I've had in my head since I was 5 years old. I saw an IMAX documentary on Antarctica that was like a canon event in my life.
And that vision, of being alone in a barren ice desert with the sun blindingly illuminating nothing but white as far as the eye can see, has been how I've wanted to go out ever since.
