Honest self-criticism is the hard part - step one: it isn’t great just because you made it. Step two: give it time, as you become more distant from the work it’s easier to assume the role of listener & judge more objectively

and the converse: just because the mix isn’t working doesn’t mean you suck at mixing in general. learning not to make sweeping statements about one’s own abilities is so important
