A three-judge panel has upheld the ruling that awarded E. Jean Carroll $5 million from President-elect Donald Trump. Two days prior, Trump shared a meme saying she should go to jail.

Trump's appeal doesn't assert any violations of the Constitution. The challenges all dealt with the court's evidentiary rulings under the Federal Rules of Evidence.
The Constitution has nothing to do with this case.
Steven Cheung, Trump’s spokesman, the incoming White House communications director said they will appeal on grounds that the trial judge made numerous errors.
At this point my confidence in holding trump accountable is zilch.
I wish I had your confidence in the system Brian.
I feel punch drunk.
When a party appeals, they must do so on grounds raised to the trial court. When they appeal to SCOTUS, the grounds must be the same in part or total as what was raised in initial appeal.
Trump didn't raise Constitutional grounds in either case.
You sound like you know your shit brother.
But this sequel to the original bad movie is getting a bit under my skin.
Pardon my ignorance Brian but at this point I’m sadly under the belief that the ‘Fix’ is on.
I desperately hope I’m wrong.
Further, since the statements at issue in the case this decision applies to were made when Trump was a citizen, the Constitution becomes even less applicable.
What did you expect from a three judge panel? They know he's the scum of the earth and was/is guilty of sexual assault.
As Judge Merchan said he basically raped E Jean Carroll.
Fork over the money, shut your cake hole and retreat ya loser!!!!
By saying she should go to jail, is that him projecting yet again?!?!?!?! He is the one that should be behind bars!
sorry, but Ive lost all hope. Nothing will bring this guy down other than his death which will probably occur before his term is up. It will be a true travesty that he never ended up being held responsible for anything
FelonTrump's Public Statements And Felony Convictions Can Be Used To Determine The Validity Of Appeals, As FelonTrump's Lawyers Have Already Been Busted Lying To The Courts REPEATEDLY.
The State of New York has no role in this case either.
It's in federal court between individuals. Neither the state of New York nor the Department of Justice can affect the appeal.
Nor will SCOTUS as none of the issues (unlike other Trump cases) had unanswered legal questions.
And even with regard to the NY state cases, if you think they will drop those cases, you're dreaming.
As seen by the fact that the NY trial judge just affirmed correctly that the immunity decision has no impact on Trump's conviction since that case didn't feature any "official acts."
With regard to the Carroll cases, $0 as the gov't is not a party to the cases and the gov't employees involved (mainly judges and clerks) would be paid the same whether Trump appealed or not.

Justice Clarence Thomas should resign.

You can't compare the favorable SCOTUS rulings in the 14th Amend't case or the federal Jan. 6th case to this case.
Both of those cases directly implicate the Constitution and involved areas where SCOTUS has not ruled upon ....
Trump's appeal asserted grounds that the judge made numerous evidentiary errors. The panel ruled the judge acted within his discretion.

I can’t make sense of page 2 of the 77 pages.
I take your word on it.
Talk Farm, talk tractor, talk rotation or fungus… That’s my turf brother ;)
Trump’s public statements seem to imply that he intents abuse of public office.
That he will pursue personal grudges using Federal resources & coercion.
Basically, it sounds like he is up for being a despotic King?
77,302,169 voters didn't care.
And DNA results support this idea.
1st she had to WAIT til he was no longer President
Then he dragged it on yrs with BS Appeals...
Does he now get another PAUSE in disbursement of the $5 MILLION?
HE SHLD HAVE TO PAY BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO BE 'INAUGURATED'

But the DOJ has nothing to do with federal civil cases they are not a party to.

Both Carroll defamation cases were in federal court in front of federal court judge Lewis Kaplan.

Such as his tax records case and refusing to hear appeals on this case earlier.

$500 million.
He hasn't paid her yet, but posted the $5M as bond to file the appeal and stop her from collecting until the appeal process is over.
Donny’s always had pronoun trouble.
“In today’s news Donald Trump is dead. Now for the weather.”
