Really enjoyed Amber Butchart talking about Regency era British seaside dress and behaviour change at @histfest.bsky.social yesterday. In April 2025 Clacton town centre, where it is 17 degrees - very pleasant, but still only 17 degrees - several British males have simply stopped wearing shirts 🤷🏻‍♀️
