If anyone had told me I’d be giving props to both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the LAPD — on the same day, for the same reason — I would’ve “Sure, Jan”-ned them and sent them on their way.

It is very rare to feel good about both for the same reason on the same day. But, hey, if this really happens, perhaps it's a sign that the world is changing in the right direction.
