I can't see many climate related obligations or agreements being maintained by companies that continue to profit off the exploitation of people and the environment. It's all delay and defer tactics.

It's not giving up. It's a complete abdication of interest in the future.

They should maybe talk to some of the insurance companies that are carrying their long term viability. See how climate impacts might be affecting profit beyond the next earnings report.
