If tech bros are going to rule the world, would be great if engineering schools taught the basics on democracy, rule of law, fundamental freedoms, human rights, good governance.

Our systems of business, politics and law are selecting for immoral egotists. Why do you think classes in engineering school are going to fix this? What does engineering school even have to do with tech bros?
Unfortunately, many of our universities (including here in Canada) have been taken over by neo-liberals administrations who are set on turning them into populist trade schools. Our engineers and business students need to know history, communication, ethics…
Something that many in tech leadership circles have been talking about for years that is needed for engineers - “soft skills”, collaboration, ethics, policy, governance models, accountability & transparency reporting. It needs to go further and be supportive of human rights and society in general.
I have no doubt you know that Elon’s grandfather (maternal) was a supporter/member of the Technocracy Movement (Technocracy Inc.), which had been banned in Canada, when his mom’s family lived in Canada, before leaving for SA? 😐
