The problem is, we simply don't have any electoral proof that women or people of color perform worse at virtually any elected American office that isn't the presidency, and for the presidency there's no way to draw good conclusions from a sample size of two.

All the white men agree: you are logically foreclosed from saying racism and misogyny might have affected the presidential race, because then you're saying Democrats should only nominate white men

I do think Dems should not nominate a woman for at least 20-30 years, because misogyny is real and shrinks Dem coalition.

The main way gender affects candidates is that women jump into races with higher skill and experience levels compared to baseline, because they have to work harder to perform equivalently.
