This reminds me of how I used to view bridges as a kid. While I knew water was underneath, it was always that little gap of a moment. I wasn't exactly flying but I wasn't really on the ground with miles of earth under me either. It was me, this stone bridge, and the water.
This artwork is very tranquil, gives off a serene vibe and reminds me of that feeling of weightlessness. I love the child looking around as I used to whenever we'd cross one in the car or on foot. At times, I'd get distracted enough to go to the railside and peek over - wondering what lied beneath
But yeah, this artwork brought back a mystical memory of childhood and I still feel it as an adult. It's just this blatant wonder, like I'm crossing into a world unknown by just walking across a bridge.
Ahh thank you so much,,, this was so beautifully written i don’t even know what to say ;o;,,, that feeling of tranquility is also something i wanted to convey and it makes me happy seeing that this could bring back these memories!
Thank you so much for sharing. It's interesting how looking at a piece of artwork really makes me feel like I'm going back in time, even while I'm sitting where I am. I appreciate the moment of levity.
