I hear you!!! I stayed up until midnight sewing a vintage dress pattern, only to have it be too tight. I'll make modifications to make it work, but it left me feeling deflated. I need an easy win too!!!

This is my easy, go to blouse pattern. It's a fun and satisfying sew, and it looks amazing on.

A swimsuit, yoga pants or an activewear tank. I drafted my own TNT patterns and can make each piece in 30+ minutes. I use my serger, coverstitch, and fold over elastic for the swimwear. With my own patterns I don’t have to figure out fit. I feel incredibly accomplished quickly to get my SEWJO back.

May be the Emily sweater by Jalie Patterns? It is meant to be done with knit / stretchy fabric but it is also oversized so it could look good too with woven
(Attached picture is a longer version of this sweater without the turtle neck which i replaced by a biais and coton cretone as fabric)

How about a Sew House 7 Remy Raglan? I sewed 2 yesterday for size samples for a student coming in today & it’s such a refreshing sew especially when something goes wrong or a pattern is crap. Peggy’s patterns are so consistent & solid.

I have zero qualms about saying I’m damn good. I can draft, passably grade, excel at tech illustrations, and can sew fast & very well. Peggy blows me out of the water. She used to work for Pendleton & Janzen. She takes a long time to release new patterns because she’s sooo exacting. Do it.
