I want to do more tabling so bad but I work full time and can’t travel far/often and seeing empty tables when I try to get in is just SO frustrating. I’m still gonna work to get in but I wish artist who can come let the staff know even if it’s last minute.

It’s just basic decency, costs 1 minute. “Hi I can’t make it because X. I’m sorry I hope another artist can get the chance.”
It also comes off as very unprofessional for artists.

The rest of the artists also get punished when AA’s in response have a tighter grip on rules and expectations.

I think it hurts even more when you know your favorite artist is having a really hard time getting into shows now too.
Competitive is the demand, limited is the supply.

It’s SO hard to get into cons nowadays and seeing people just choose not to go because they don’t feel like it makes me so tired 😩

I’m of the “don’t go if you don’t want to.” But i don’t know how you can not tell a show and let them give that oppurtunity to someone else. Especially when you know the show will happily get another artist to fill. 💦
