Most super rich people don't have huge amounts of money, though. They have stock worth huge amounts of money, which is not the same thing. I'm all for higher taxes on the wealthy, but we need to be clear on what the situation actually is.
Okay, change my post to "that much money and assets" then. It's not like there aren't ways to tax that as well so I'm not sure I really understand the objection.
How is it hard exactly? Unless you think passing laws in general is hard, I don't really see that. Also the discussion was about trade-offs, not ease of implementation.
In a similar vein, we know that for example direct cash payments to people in need and housing first approaches for the unhoused are more effective and cheap than keeping people poor.
