Those “genocide Joe” voters lost the plot a long time ago.

Now they’re shocked at Trump’s plans for Gaza that will show the real genocide has only just begun and the last year was pure prologue to the main event.

I don't think anyone is shocked that Trump has been worse. But it's still baffling to me that the Democrats were willing to lose the presidency instead of taking a harder line against Genocide, because there was plenty of data at the time indicating that it was a massive gamble.

Also, what data is there to suggest that support for genocide is an election-losing stance in US politics? There has been almost a constant string of active genocides happening around the world for decades and the US democratic voting public has routinely shrugged. 🤷‍♂️

At the time it was pretty clearly a risky prospect. Lots of poll data that said it was a red line for the far left and among Arab Americans, especially in MI. DNC chose to pursue a path to victory w/o those voters. No one can say they didn't know it was a factor.
