Corruption!
They clearly aren’t up to the job, so should be relieved of it
Nationalisation without compensation will kill UK inward investment.
The approach must be to stop Water Companies increasing charges simply to pay dividends and bonuses.
Legal action to claw back misuse of the charges since privatisation by CONs.
Any that go bust are nationalised.

Also, when a business goes bust, their debtors/shareholders loose.
That's the good bit about private industry.
So no they wouldn't have to compensate investors.
