I didn’t hear back from my current job for like two weeks. I wouldn’t stress after two days. Plus who wouldn’t wanna hire you?

Maybe I’ve just been incredibly spoiled before because I’ve never had to wait this long. I was moving on and my sister was like “nah give it a few more days”.

I'm (hopefully) being brought on to a company, and the guy who's been TRYING to hire me for a yr is struggling to get HR to flip switches. First there were other departments that thought I should report to them, then had to create a new position...they gave a verbal last week but no paperwork yet 🤦🏻‍♀️

All that to say this man has been TRYING. HARD. And HR is dragging their feet, switch-flipper 2 was in last Monday but out till the end of the year etc., there's no way to know without reaching out. I would approach it like that, "I know it's the holidays, but I wanted to thank y'all again and..."

There are no rules. I once didn't hear back from a company for no word of a lie, 7 months. When I did hear from them they gave me a higher offer than anyone else in the field.
