I called his office and left a message thanking him for fighting and his passion. I felt stupid because I was crying but I don't want to live in a cruel country and Trump and his administration are cruel

And absolute respect for him highlighting his constituents concerns and the problems with this administration’s actions instead of reading Green Eggs and Ham. His staff did an amazing job preparing him.
Listening to him is like an injection of hope that I haven't felt in a very long time. His eloquence and love for country, his calls to the better angels of our nature and his decency & goodness is just what I needed to hear when I was pretty certain our democracy was done. What a lift.
Besides watching his great work as a Senator, I’ll never forget seeing his family history shown on “Finding Your Roots” on PBS (season 1, episode 1) years ago. A really good person and a terrific champion for Americans. Go Cory!

Watching from Canada, seeing so many Americans express their sorrow and helplessness in the face of Trumpist depredations, I’ve been waiting to see a leader rise to give people a focus and a direction. I’m hoping Cory Booker is it.
I’m so glad he has through for us all! His words were truth and powerful! He hit it down hard and stood up for Americans! So glad he pressed on all topics on his speech, especially John Lewis, etc! We need the others to step up too and stop with their nonsense, hint: shumer and the other 9!

Chuck was there for him for a good amount of time. No sitting, no leaving where he was no bathroom and remember every step he had before he allowed a question, dead tired. The guy did something, he stood up. If you thought it was a joke, you’re right, but give it a try.
I'm a retired teacher, and the first day back to school, I always got hoarse after just a few hours. I really don't know how he's done it.
But I am SO grateful to him. We all needed a rallying point. The Senate needed a wake-up call.
He did plan it quite well... I was wondering why he started in the evening. But, as it turns out, it was the right time to start it (provided he would make it to 24 hours).
Senator Schumer was there helping by asking a long question which gave Senator Booker a chance to rest his voice, as did many other Democratic senators. He had the support of almost all the Democrats in the Senate.
In my opinion, attacking those who are on the same side just because they aren't doing exactly what you want all the time is a good reason we struggle to get our message out to those who could be convinced to vote for Democrats. We need to fight MAGA and quit fighting allies.
Already felt like he got overlooked in 2020, essentially written off by the power brokers and the media. There's a major vacuum in real leadership among Dems. Bully to him for rising to the moment.
