Brilliant article from September addressing the growing rumors of such a scenario, and detailing the several moves the Govt have been taking over the past months and years to prepare the military for a coup.
Thanks for the quick post Lewis : as a korean studying abroad in the UK, this news hit me like a truck, I seriously did not see this coming. We’ll have to see how it pans out, but for now the public is NOT happy
This is a huge story in its own right and obviously first and foremost we must treat it as such.
But how many more surprising developments do we need around the world before the UK wakes up and realises that we are in a war for the very survival of democracy?
The world is going to shit. I really hope that there is a good reason for this and it’s not some sort of power grab or the start of a series of crimes against humanity
Just seen the update seems more an internal step to protect his own position, rather than what could have been so much worse ie imminent threat from the North.

As Ukraine moves towards the endgame / Trump's inauguration, the speed of the attacks on democracy are rising. As is the level of sabotage etc
