Google announced a while ago theyre pushed changes to nerf ad blocking in chrome. You can use ublock lite but it's limited. Still fully working in Firefox 😉

Ublock origin works way better as a content blocker, and has the bonus of not being owned by a company that extorts payment from people to let their ads through.
