I wonder if culture needs to grow upwards? My view is nursing accepts top down 'command & control' leadership- we seem to accept rather than challenge- culture relies on diversity of approach
I guess the question is why do we ‘accept’ that approach? I suspect the answer may lie within the construct of #PsychologicalSafety - the belief that we are safe to take interpersonal risks without being punished or humiliated #NurseSky #SkyChat
Firstly, a clear strategy: as this requires a consistent representation and advocacy. Others: Share real-life stories and showcase the diversity and complexity of the profession. Challenging outdated stereotypes. #NurseSky #SkyChat
Share success stories, join healthcare discussions, mentor future leaders, push for advanced roles, and celebrate wins with awards or shoutouts. It’s all about showing what nurses bring to the table every day! #NurseSky
