To our eternal shame, children have no rights. And those purporting to fight for them on the (US) national stage are only interesting in further entrenching them in poverty and misery. Breeding wage slaves.

children are part of no actual or idealized deliberative process for creating rules governing their treatment. i know of no way to formulate how #adoption ethically abuses children except by insisting that *they have rights* that are objective and yet typically ignored.
