When it comes to the people in charge of the club and footballers celtic are a business/employer and are no different to any other business. As the youngsters say its birthday card nonsense to think otherwise. Mcginn choose to go to an employer that wanted him more at the time
Celtic are a business. Whether we like it or not it has to be run as such and properly unlike those across the city. While we wont agree with a lot of what they do, those in power run it as a business and do so successfully from a financial point of view.
As I said, majority of footballers don't treat football clubs in the way of loving them from a fan point of view. All about employment, how much they earn, safeguarding their future for themselves and their family. Only fans don't see it as a 'company'.
We all thought Tierney would be a one club player given his 'passion' towards the fans, but look how that turned out. Forrest, who got absolute pesters and still does from a section of the support showed more loyalty.
What we dont like is the fact that they have a complete disregard for their 'customers' the Celtic fans for the most part. And only react when their bottom line is affected.
Players are businesses in themselves also. They are brands. They employ agents to safeguard their futures and that means £££
