It sounds like these were basically protests against the town authorities' attempt to institute a preaching ministry. The defendants claim to have found the libel in the street and read it aloud 'in the hearing of sondry young persones'; they have to apologise publicly and Walsingham has to ... 4/

Adam Loftus, Archbishop of Dublin and Chancellor of Ireland, writes to Walsingham (responding to letters of 28 April, not a bad response speed); he says, slightly protesting-too-much, that he's made up his quarrel with Lord Deputy Arthur Grey.
