I was empaneled on a jury in New York County Civil Court once in the 90s. Bodega slip-and-fall. Case settled after opening statements, and I was so bummed lol

I am an employment law attorney, empaneled on an Employment law case. I was so excited. The case was so weak. I don't know how it got beyond motions. The jury was so pissed at having to sit there. Bummer as I was looking forward to the deliberations.
I’ve been called three times. Got released early on one, sent off the jury by the defense on 2, and had to sit around the courtroom during juror questioning but never called to the jury seats all day. Sigh.
I was so bummed that I couldn't tell the court that I felt the DA was corrupt and had documentary evidence that she knew a judge committed judicial misconduct for which he was admonished by NYS CJC and she covered up. It settled first. So bummed.
I was a Flight Safety Officer in the Air Force, and every jury I got called for, when they found out I had a formal investigating background, I got tossed. Never sat on a trial. Even since I have retired.
LOL, both my parents were lawyers (admitted in '55) and I remember how mad my mom was when lawyers were made eligible for jury duty - almost as mad as when it was made legal for lawyers to advertise.

After sitting on a jury, I really did feel reassured about our justice system.
I walked away thinking it was pretty cool to be part of the process.
