I feel like I know my Bluesky audience pretty well, but just in case some of you have (gasp!) never seen Casablanca and therefore never had the heartsplitting experience of watching a bunch of real life European refugees stand up and drown out fake Nazis by singing the Marseillaise go fix that soon.

My real life story touches me much deeper

Hitler bombed my house in a village in the UK. I was 6 mos. old with my mum and my older brother under a large solid oak table, so we survived. Mum told me years later she sang "Land of hope and glory" as they got us out!
