a 5-day pass currently costs 56% of a season ticket, so this would probably not even remotely pencil out on the first order consequences if you didn’t reject it for its absurdity alone

I'm wondering, are hotels, under that proposition, allowed to loan them out to their guests for a fee? Because if so that is amazing money-making opportunities for hotels and probably the ruin for the company operating the ski routes and infrastructure? Why would they suggest that

I‘m unsure if it was that or a silly way to pack an amount for a redistributive tax—>subsidy, and unsure it even got to that point of being thought out as opposed to just being a flashy idea to talk about to the press. Another obvious issue is how this would affect eg. hostels vs a four star hotel.

Hahaha ouch yeah that'd be a lot of up-front costs...
But still, if I as a hotel owner purchase one season pass per bed and year and loan it out every week for 50% of what I paid for it, that means I make net profit of several times of what I paid for it, while the operating company sells nearly 1/

zero 5-day passes anymore? If they did that one season, they'd be bankrupt.
Or they mean the hotel owners should purchase season passes they are not allowed to pass on (or to at most 1 person). If so... why?!? That's just... Completely without reason lol. 2/2
