Installed a new stovetop a few months back, and found that it has Wi-Fi.
I’m about the most pro-Wi-Fi guy you could find. I’m literally one of the original developers of Wi-Fi technology.
But why the fuck would I want somebody to be able to remotely switch on my stove?

thanksss....
Especially given the janky-ass enrollment protocol they came up with, that is open by default.
I’ve moved to online access to many things in my home & on my boat, accepting the associated security risks. I password protect everything, & your point about defaults is spot on.
I skipped WiFi features when I replaced my fridge, & I would on a stove too.
