Fellow designers, how much can we cut & paste from an SRD?L Should we aim to distance our work from its influences? And what are some good ways to achieve this?

Depends on the turn around time your aiming for but I generally rec either have 8+ stylist influences or look at what your influences are influenced by.
Tho if your big enough you can just mostly rip and people don't seem to care. Aka Tom Bloom with Cain influenced by Chainsawman and JJK. Tho I don't recommend it and I might be wrong about Cain. Cain to me didn't pass the sniff test tho that's just me.
I’m not a game designer, but I do know that Mausritter gives shout outs to all of its design influences on an acknowledgements page. Take a page from that.
