A good few years back I was running late. Drove to Aberdeen airport (30mins), somehow made flight, landed at London City. DLR was waiting at the airport. So door to door - rural Aberdeenshire to pal’s place in Bethnal Green - was < than 3 hours. Train to Edinburgh (a mere 100 miles) would be longer.
