Who is the author? I'm not a status quo type, but this isn't the time to mess with what's not broken. Canada's not broken. Benefits are flowing. Can there be improvements, yes. Is Trudeau always right, no. But I have zero faith that PP or Singh would do better.
Yup. He's VERY vomit inducing! And punchable. 😡 That voice too...omfg. I just can't stand the thought of him as PM. It literally does make me feel physically ill.
No. Sorry. I can not agree. He messed up with immigration. Too many people too fast. Uncontrolled. They even messed up and let 1MM more in than they thought. Trudeau must wear and accept this blunder as his own doing.
But an overwhelmingly positive mandate consists of more than one issue. It's unwise to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Especially with traitors waiting in the wings.
I hear you. But this was a massive massive blunder. Trudeau needs to go and we can move forward with another party leader elected by members democratically.
I support PMJT however the majority of my liberal friends do not. Very disappointed firing Freeland. As Eddie Goldenberg says in his article "Crisis or Opportunity for the Liberal Government? Trudeau needs to announce that he will resign as PM effective January 6" Was chief staff for Chretien.
Eddie (a big wig lobbyist and has been for years) is advocating for completely gutting the party rules to put his preferred MP at the top. Caucus doesn't get to decide who the leader is. That's up to over 300k liberal party members - the ones who've backed JT through 3 terms along with voters.
I'm so furious he didn't listen to Freeland then tossed her aside like that. Im 56yr old who's voted Liberal her whole life. Charlie Angus has my full attention right now. Obviously I'm voting Trudeau if that is our choice because I'll never vote Jag or PP. If it's a Lib leadership race, Freeland.
He did not fire her that is false.. he offered her a different portion.. she did not want it..for what ever reason.. do your liberal friends know that ? what’s the reason they feel he should sept down?
She had a hissing fit and quit because she was so sure she was going to be the next Liberal party leader. Canadians weren't going to vote for her. The cons backing her should tell you that they knew she would lose if she led the party into the next election. The cons know they can't beat Trudeau.
Cry harder, sunshine. We all saw and read her hissy fit. Seems pretty odd that you assume hissy fits are feminine, and no, not just women throw hissy fits. Musk is currently throwing one on his site.
I agree in principle, but not in this instance. A hissing fitness exactly 💯 what this was. She doesn't have the support of Canadians to lead the liberals. We need someone new. And much stronger
.
Honestly, it's 100% anecdotal. I personally liked her, but of the 50 or so progressives/centrists I know and have spoken to, I was the only one. Not at all scientific, I know.
I would have LOVED to see Sean Fraser in that position, but alas it seems it's not to be.
Read her letter, she says in she is the one deciding to step down. Freeland put her ego ahead of Canadians best interests when she published that letter. What an asshole she is to pull that when Canada is under attack from the incoming US administration.
Of course there is always way more going on than we know about but the reality is that the PM is in charge and she was there because of him in the first place. It pisses me off that he put more women in cabinet and they are the ones that behaved like petulant vindictive assholes at the end.
I agree. Trudeau has leaned a lot and now knows what Canada really needs over the next four years at least. The other options are either corrupt or incompetent and frankly will only make things worse. We are on the brink of a new world war so it’s imperative that we rearm and diversify the economy.
Well done- all of it and so much more.
I’ve always said that PMJT’s love for our country and for Canadians shines bright. I don’t see that in other party leaders.
You are so right in saying that he has stayed the course even when the mud is being slung at him. He is tenacious.

Why do you Americans interfere with the rest of the world ?
Hear that, NDP and Bloc? If you bring down his government yu are handing this country to PP and his ilk.
How does that jive with your liberal values?
MM stands for #MerelyMisogynist
.
Who's stronger in the LPC ?
I would have LOVED to see Sean Fraser in that position, but alas it seems it's not to be.
There's a huge difference between that and what your friends believe.
And did you notice who WASN'T there?
That was November 30th. She knew then.
Her "letter"???
December 16th.
