There's no mathematical or economic basis for that conclusion.

It's convenient to PP, but it's not accurate, and his voters will be disappointed (hopefully permanently) when the carbon tax is eliminated, and prices don't change (because they can't be reduced if costs aren't actually removed).

It's almost like we need to start taking scales with us grocery shopping now, and check the weights of the meat to make sure we aren't being ripped off. Maybe if we start doing that and kick up a scene when we find a mis weighed item, they'll stop.
